- Be delusional.
Be delusional.
delulu is the solulu
Hey girlie,
Why is it that everyone always tells you to be realistic? They say your standards are too high, your goals are too big, your dreams are too unrealistic.
Here’s something I’ve noticed about goals: if they are too small, they're not worthwhile. If they are too big, people are going to call you delusional.
But here’s the thing: it’s always crazy until it’s done.

Personally, I’ve always wanted to become rich and make enough money to support myself and help take care of my parents. I grew up with parents who pretty much lost everything from a business going under. Given that my situation at the time was sharing one bedroom with a family of four in a basement, there was no indicator that I was going to live a life of wealth.
If I were to share that goal of becoming rich, it would either be laughed at and brushed off as a joke, or I would be told to be realistic and just marry rich.
“Delusion gives you faith when there is absolutely nothing in your present life that indicates you should believe.” - Russ
When you want to change, and want to create a better life for yourself, there’s going to be people who are not going to be happy because of their own insecurities, and sometimes this is especially true for the people closest to you.
You know why that is? It’s actually because they know you, and they know you guys came from the same place, and if they don’t believe they can also change because of their own limiting beliefs, they will feel threatened by you. Instead of having the courage to change, they will find it much easier to drag you back down to their reality, their level, so they feel a little bit better about where they are.
And if that happens, well, congratulations, it means you are making progress and you’re heading in the right direction. Keep going. And if you don’t think you can do it, be delusional. Everything is crazy until it's not.
With this said, I want to share with you one of my favorite stories. There was this guy, Guglielmo Marconi, who had this grand idea of sending messages through the air.
His family thought he was crazy.
His friends thought he was insane.
He knew he was brilliant.
So what happened next?
His family had him locked up in a mental institution, hoping that he would “get better.”
Did he give up? No. He knew what he knew, and shared what he knew with one of the attending doctors, someone who had the IQ to comprehend what he was saying.
The doctor reluctantly let him go, and Guglielmo Marconi went out to invent what we now know as the radio.
So what did I take away from this?
Sometimes family and friends really may have your best interests at heart, and yet they won’t understand you.
Just because what you want, and what you want to achieve, may seem different or even crazy to others, does not mean it’s wrong.
Nobody knows you, and what you are capable of, more than yourself.
Everything is crazy until it is done. Have faith in yourself. Be delusional, and then go make it happen.

P.S. There has been a ton of people looking for other girlies with a similar mindset focused on healing, growing, and leveling up. I think that's awesome! If I were to create a community where we could all gather to share accomplishments, ask for advice, etc., which platform would you prefer? (Please share your thoughts below.)
